C3 is about a boy who lives in a house that has the power to dispel curses. So he takes in a bunch of cursed objects to cure them. Of course, these cursed objects all happen to be cute girls.
Despite the bland setup, I have to admit I enjoyed this. This wasn’t just your usual harem; it was your usual harem composed of deadly weapons and torture devices. Courtship has never been so much fun!
The characters are mostly interesting. I particularly liked Inchou, of course (smart girls are the best!), but I also liked Konoha. This is probably the first childhood friend character I didn’t want to strangle since Kannagi.
Unfortunately, the lead characters were less exciting. The male protagonist was fairly bland. Fear, the lead female, is Shana clone #6023, except she uses torture devices instead of a sword. Why do harem leads always seem to go with the characters I like least? (Damn you, Kyon! How could you choose Haruhi over Nagato?!)
But in general the characters were likable, and the story itself was serviceable, if not particularly unique. To be frank, I probably gave it a full letter grade more than it deserves by virtue of having crazy girls with weapons. And Inchou.

- Characters – B – Crazy girls with weapons. Yes!
- Production – C – Meh. Not the biggest fan of the art style, but it didn’t look bad either.
- Overall – B-

I appreciated that Haruaki could at least fight, and didn’t do the typical “Whaaa!!!! Naked cute girl in mah house!!! *nosebleed*passes out*”
He was like, okay…
If anyone, I’m fairly certain Haruaki will go with Konoha, she’s one of the two with romantic feelings for him (or what I guess are romantic feelings), and the other is essentially immortal, so I don’t see her opening up.
Overall, I agree a good series (with an animation style that I can understand why some people wouldn’t enjoy), I can’t wait for the second season (it needs a second season! I must know what happens!)
Yeah, I thought Haruaki was decent as well, he wasn’t the worst harem protagonist by any means, but he wasn’t that great either. More of a *meh* than a *blurgh*.
I wish he would go with Konoha (well, actually, I wish he would go with Inchou, but Konoha would be good too) but I’m pretty sure he’s going to end up with Fear. I guess it’s just my sixth sense from having watched way too many harems, but they always seem to pick the character I hate the most, so… If they went with someone else that would be wonderful, but I don’t want to get too optimistic. I just see Fear as the lead female, not Konoha or Inchou.
I would be happy if this got a second season as well.
Ahaha, I remember the moment when we both tweeted at the same moment right when we found out that things were getting serious in C^3. That was so funny!
I enjoyed this series very much, but not quite as enough to rank it as one of the best. And my favorite character is Inchou, since she’s my type. ^_^

Inchou is my type too. I don’t understand the appeal of all these characters who trip over themselves and generally act like idiots. Stupidity is not cute!

Eh, I didn’t think it was that bad. Parts of it were dumb, but as a whole I thought it was decent. I am biased towards insane people, though…
Ahhhh C3 what a interesting series, from start to finish I was not expecting to get so addicted to it I just wish it was longer than just 12 episodes. But this is easily a series that can have series after series just like Index, Railgun, Shana and every other JC Staff show! Yes C3 is not a JC Staff show but you might as well call it a copy.
Fear is awesome! I loved watching that Yandere side of hers whenever she used it, and that cube weapon? AMAZING! I loved watching that weapon in action thanks to that drill weapon <3 So bad ass!
And what harem-ish series would be complete without OH hey fan service through Inchou! And Fear-chan I can't forget about her. But Inchou had the best, from random bondage scene in episode 10 to stripping in episode 12 at the end haha not bad 😉
Yes, Inchou is the best! Fear is ok, when she goes into yandere mode I like her, but her day to day personality is really annoying.
And yeah, it does seem a lot like Index. I just hope they don’t end up with way more characters than they know what to do with, like Index. I wouldn’t complain about a sequel though.
