Shakugan no Shana part 18. People pull out swords and fight gods. But they’re invisible unless you have magic powers. Apparently the gods like to fight each other and our lead characters need to stop them from breaking things.
I’ll admit, I have no idea what happened. I normally wouldn’t mind, except half the episode was narrated chock-full of mumbo-jumbo purporting to explain what was happening. And it didn’t help. Something with dead gods fighting each other, our hero is Prometheus which means he can steal the gods’ powers and is the king of Earth.
Yada yada, yada yada, Unlimited Blade Works.
On the bright side, the lead female is not voiced by Rie Kugimiya. So it could be worse. And there’s no beating around the bush with the love angle, they already kissed in the first episode. Oh and the guy took off all the girl’s clothes in her sleep. Classy, I know.
I’ll probably watch the second episode of this at least, but it’s pretty bad. Same old, same old, but with extra gibberish.
well, first scene of episode 2 is him waking in his bed, after a time skip, with naked Erica sharing the bed, it doesn’t come as a shock to him either.
So they really got the will they won’t they / who will he choose, out of the way quick.
Yep, seems like it. The second episode was *not* what I expected. Which I think is a good thing.
I actually would follow this anime, not because of the characters (i don’t really like erica for some reason) but because it seemed pretty interesting with the god-stealing power thing. LOL at that last picture and the lead female being voiced by Rie Kugimiya, i find her voice really irritating even though some people might like it (makes my ears bleed).
Stealing gods’ powers could be interesting, I guess. I don’t really think this show will get far with it though.
As for Rie Kugimiya, I only hate her Shana voice, otherwise I don’t mind her so much.
