Hayate no Gotoku: Can’t Take My Eyes Off You — First Impressions

It was better than the movie!

But the movie was an irredeemable piece of shit.

This isn’t much better. Manglobe just doesn’t seem to get Hayate. You know, how it’s supposed to be funny and all?

  1. No Wakamoto narrator = no watch. Even if there’s more Hina. Manglobe used to do awesome shit like Michiko to Hatchin now they rape the Hayate franchise (though I think the author is to blame for this new series) and give us shitty adaptations (Deadman Wonderland)

    1. There wasn’t any Hina this episode. 🙁 If there were I wouldn’t have hated it *quite* as much. What is the point of Hayate without Hina and without Wakamoto narrator?

  2. this season is a sequel of the manga.Hayate no Gotoku Manga Timeline is now in July. Movie was in August and this series is in September

    1. If the manga actually covers that movie I will have to read it, I can’t imagine the manga writer will make it as awful as that movie was.

  3. I agree with you. And having watched all four episodes aired so far, I personally find the new character design by Manglobe really disturbing and ugly (for a lack of a better word) Especially when they changed the facial aspects of Hina in episode 3.

    1. My god what they did to Hina was hideous. WTF were they smoking. Manglobe has forgotten that Hayate is supposed to be funny.
