Jinsei Review — C

The newspaper club writes advice columns.

Jinsei has a goofy premise— the newspaper club has a generic boy, a girl who’s good at science, a girl who’s good at humanities, and a girl who’s good at sports, and they write advice columns coming from the perspective of their own respective field. The setup is such that the girls are all complete idiots at everything aside from their own area of expertise.

Couple this with copious amounts of perverted antics, and it seems like a recipe for disaster, but I actually enjoyed Jinsei. It has a certain charm to it. Despite the somewhat repetitive and extremely silly premise, I found most of the episodes fairly amusing, in their own way. And with the harem(ish) aspects, it helps that there’s one girl who’s clearly the main love interest, and it doesn’t descend too far down that path.

It’s nothing anyone will remember in a year (like anyone remembers it now…) but it wasn’t a bad show.

  • Characters – C – Have very distinctive personalities…
  • Attention Grab – C – Kept my interest, although I wasn’t that excited.
  • Production – C – Looks decent, but nothing great.
  • Overall – C

  1. Ikumi is the only reason I kept watching this garbage. Nothing else was special or exciting about this show at all.

  2. i have a brand new anime or manga featuring a 36 year old paranormal investigator named Adam lee he lives together with his wife a goddess named Aphrodite and his odd adopted children we see centuries or millennia ago a evil entity named Master Leviathan was defeated by the paranormal phenomena and measures bureau it promised it would have its offspring destroy human civilization so to prevent the end of civilization Adam must find and adopt the offspring of Master Leviathan and gets married to a goddess named Aphrodite.
