Kaguya-sama: Love is War Review — A-

High schoolers fall in love. The first to admit it loses.

This is one of my favorite manga at the moment. I love it because the childish, immature way they relate to the object of their affections is exactly the way I acted in high school too. Fortunately I got over it. But watching other people do it is still hilarious.

The anime adaptation did not disappoint. It perfectly captures the charm of the manga, even to the extent of the winner / loser blurbs at the end of each chapter. It captures simultaneously the innocence, charm and utter stupidity of the main characters. Fujiwara… is captured even better than in the manga, if anything. The animation is great (look at those facial expressions… damn) and the pacing is great.

One of the best comedies in a while.

  • Storytelling – A – Wonderful sense of humor.
  • Voice – A – Yup.
  • Characters – A – They’re all great.
  • Attention Grab – A – One of the shows I most looked forward to this season.
  • Production – A – Looks fabulous.
  • Overall – A-

Recommendations – Nichibros, Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun, Asobi Asobase

  1. i have a brand new harem anime or manga featuring a thirty year old paranormal investigator named Adam Lee he lives in Tokyo Japan in the year 4000 after a mysterious portal opened up leading to a different dimension called Elysium in the 21st century.

  2. we see that the world of Elysium is a medieval European fantasy like world filled with magic and all kinds of monsters the world of Elysium has elves, dragons, dwarfs, unicorns, mermaids, vampires, demons, ghosts, zombies, mummies, angels, harpies, ogres, medusae, sirens, mimics, slime monsters, chimeras, sphinxes, cupids, fairies, werewolves, giants, genies, grim reapers, gods and goddesses, gnomes, nymphs, centaurs, goblins, orcs, Valkyries, ninjas, knights, samurais, pirates, nuns, oriental far eastern shrine maidens/ priestesses, monks, exorcists, alchemists, and witches.

  3. on earth there is aliens from other planets, robots, clones, superhuman artificially created soldiers, living dolls, magical girls, eternally young immortal people and from the world of Elysium we meet cyclopes, trolls, banshees, gargoyles, wights, yetis, jersey devils, leviathans, sea serpents, kappas, and half human half animal hybrids plus half human half plant hybrids. also from the world of Elysium are princes, princesses, kings, queens, maids, and butlers along with people with psychic abilities there are also feral children who are raised by animals there are also slaves and prostitutes in the world of Elysium.
