I don’t know about this specific show (I’m in Japan so I don’t get to watch anime right now – oh the irony!) but yeah, this feeling often comes to mind. I can understand with one-man works like light novels where the author can just be delusional about his own skill, but how does some stuff that requires extensive creative teams get made without someone getting up and shouting “wait, why are we even DOING this? Are we out of our collective mind?” is baffling.
