Saving the world by peeking at underwear.
I liked what this show was trying for. It has distinctive visual and storytelling styles. The plot and setting are absurd. If I had to compare it to something else, I’d say it’s Tsuritama with panty shots. More or less.
The best part is the plot and how it is told, especially the perspective it is told from. You see the same sequence of events twice, but it feels completely different the second time.
The weakest part of the show, in my opinion, is the individual character arcs. For a show like this, these are way too typical. One girl gets bullied. Another girl is sick. Another super old woman (as in, in her 20s) can’t get a boyfriend. Boo-fucking-hoo. The trappings of these stories are still interesting, but the substance is pretty dull.
My favorite part was the spirit cat. So weird haha. And a great ending for the show.
- Storytelling – B – Loved the style and absurdity.
- Voice – B – It’s weird.
- Characters – C – The show’s weakest part. But still not that bad.
- Attention Grab – C – It definitely got more interesting as it went on.
- Production – B – Looks pretty great.
- Overall – B-
