Tonari no Seki-kun — First Impressions

Seki does crazy things with dominoes. The girl next to him tsukkomis.

I’m typically not a fan of these shorts, but this was pretty good. There’s no way this story could last as a full show, but as a short it works pretty well. I did read part of the manga at one point, and the entire thing is pretty much like this first episode: Seki does something crazy, girl reacts. It’s good in small doses but gets old rather quickly. It is pretty funny though. I’ll stick with it.

  1. The fact that it’s only good in short doses means it’s one of the few times I have no qualms with something good being only 7-8 minutes a week.

    1. Yep, agreed. Normally these shorts aren’t worth the effort, but this one I think will work out better with the shortened format.

  2. Gotta say, my favourite part was the AWESOME MUSIC as the erasers fell over. It would not have been out of place in some action-packed Titan scene.
