Towa no Quon 1 Review — D-

No, not THAT Quon. Instead we get some punk kid.

The movie starts out with a decent Sacred Seven style fight scene. Then it self-destructed.

The first words out of this brat’s mouth are “I want to save everyone!” This is pretty much a secret keyphrase for people who watch enough anime, which indicates that the show is going to suck. This and “You’re you, ____!” are the defaults for creators who can’t be assed to come up with an interesting conflict.

Right after this exciting revelation, we learn that our protagonists are an organization of kids whose secret base is in an amusement park. They’re the Attractors, and they can change feelings into power. Good lord. They’re trying to save their own from a secret organization that’s trying to kill them because… well, because they create disorder.

Next some girl walks up to Quon, pulls her shirt down to show him her breasts, and shoves her butt in his face. He runs away, and the girl screams at some random passerby, “Stop staring at me, you pervert!” At least Fractale centered the pervert jokes around a character who was at the scene of the crime and had a name.

This all took place in the first five minutes after the initial fight scene. I’m not going to bother boring you by discussing the rest of the movie. It doesn’t get much better.

  • Plot / Script – 5 / 10 – I guess the battles were ok? As in, a bad version of Sacred Seven’s.
  • Characters – 4 / 10 – The most interesting was Quon, whose defining characteristic is that he wanted to save everyone.
  • Production – 6 / 10 – I guess the animation was decent? It is Bones after all. The music was awful though.
  • Overall – D-

Recommendations – Go watch Rahxephon? I’m not going to recommend anything like this movie.

  1. Wow This is one of the terrible reviews i’ve seen. This movie is actually really good.
The story is simple , series and exciting. The character had a good build-up but they did rush the story a bit but it is very good. And you said it won’t get better? Episode 2 and onwards was even better. I’m going to have to fix you up. You don’t understand at all.

“OK? Even high rated anime were similar to these fight scenes. Your seriously judging this recklessly.”

” Your missing out shun and Quons’ brother. Your completely not paying any attention any other attention either than the main character. And why the hell is Rahxephon even brought up. This is omg.. so.. i can’t believe this”

Production – 6 / 10 – I guess the animation was decent? It is Bones after all. The music was awful though.
“The music was awful? Do you even know who the composer is? It’s kenji kawaii who even composed gundam 00. His music creates a very serious emotion. And judging the animation is highly stupid, I bet you haven’t even listen to all the soundtracks of Towa No Quon”

Overall – D- ONLY D? Sorry but i have to rate your review a F. Only reason is because you seriously only paid attention to bits and pieces clearly means it’s not your type of anime. But your ratings and reasons for it was very stupid. Your review is clearly invalid. I object your review. End of story. Many people heard it was bad because of reviews of this. Quon fans had to recommend them and then they started to like it.

    1. I watched episode two, it was also not very good. Just lots of fighting.

All of these characters just bore me. There is nothing interesting about them. They have no personality.

As for the music, what’s important isn’t really the soundtrack on its own, but how it is used in conjunction with the animation. And Gundam 00 is not exactly the high point of anime…

…clearly means it’s not your type of anime. But your ratings and reasons for it was very stupid. Your review is clearly invalid. I object your review.

Yes, it’s not my type of anime. But what, you want me to lie about it and pretend I like things I don’t? I object your objection.

      1. Only two episodes? Don’t make me laugh ( MWHAHAHAHAHAHAH) * oh i just did*.
2 episodes don’t explain anything. Sorry but I’m being honest. ( I’m not really sorry )
Sure your review only goes for episode 1. But you can’t just judge so much and errors in 1 episode. It’s just stupid. (yup very stupid)
Lol and how they used in conjunction with the animation. What made you judge that. ( YOU CAN”T JUDGE THAT BELOW EXPLAINS WHY)

Saying that the music was awful didn’t got to do with conjunction with the animation. Your say still said the music itself is still bad ( The use of logic of reading). Sure, i’m not telling you to lie ( don”t LIE). But if it’s not your type, why make a review out of it then. It makes people think like it’s shit. Your just mind blowing others. If it’s shit. Then don’t say. It’s pointless. Thanks to review like this, I had a lot of people saying Towa no Quon is shit ( poo ). And i had to persuade them to watch it ( LIKE A BITCH ). After that, they loved that. (<3)
Even though you explained your ratings. They were pretty low but w/e.
        THUS
I object you for objecting my objection.
        Pheonix wright here we come.

        1. If I’m not drawn into the show after two entire movies, why should I have the patience to put up with any more? They had two whole movies to get my attention, and failed miserably.

And Towa no Quon is shit. You are of course free to disagree. But what, do you want me to write reviews only of things I like? That would be just as misleading as outright lying.

I object to your objection to my objection!

        2. As someone who did see all seven movies and disagrees with Draggle’s opinions more than I disagree with the opinions of a certain blogger whose name rhymes with Mandon (ohohoho), I can safely say this. These movies were shit. On top of being recycled garbage with a cast of soulless characters that were literally hurting me every time they opened their fucking mouths (I hated them way more than Draggle did), nothing about this series justified a movie budget. I don’t even like what I’ve seen of Garden of Sinners, but at least I believed it was movie level. When even the animation looks like a cheap TV show, and you’re supposed to be a movie, you’re doing something wrong.
