Wasn’t a bad episode by any means, but I hate sports anime. I particularly hate baseball. My dad forced me to join a little league team in first grade. I hated it. You spend half the game sitting in the dugout and half the game standing around in the outfield. The main character is wrong, baseball is possibly the only sport that is equally boring playing and watching on TV.
Dropped due to my vehement unending hatred of baseball. (If anyone is wondering why I liked Moshidora, it’s because they didn’t actually play any baseball.)
You know why they sell peanuts during games, hold intermission dancing with colorful mascots, or launch fireworks whenever there is a home run? Its to distract you from the truth that the game is boring.

I watched the first episode as it is produced by Madhouse and Production I.G. Also, I thought I should try a sports anime for a change. But you are right, it is not very interesting and most likely it will bore me, as well. There is still only one sports anime I liked, Chihayafuru, and I assume that one is rather atypical.
