Tomino grows senile.
This… thing… is the most incomprehensible anime I have ever watched with some of the worst characterizations I’ve ever seen. None of the characters’ actions make any sense. Every line of dialogue they spout is independent of every line that has gone before. I don’t understand how it’s possible to write dialogue that makes so little sense. They went through all the trouble to animate this, didn’t it occur to them to let some editor read over the script beforehand? Every action they take is independent of their previous actions and any potential consequences.
The characters are just so goddamn stupid it’s unbelievable. It takes over 20 episodes for them to come to the shocking revelation that people can be hurt by war. Even Gundam 00 was more intelligent than this.
See, the characters have to explain the world is not square, because given the logic in Tomino-world, it very well could be. The “characters”, such as they are, act independent of any external or internal forces and seem subject only to the plot and the whims of Tomino. So all the show has going for it is the plot. And the plot is even dumber, if anything. It’s hard to have a plot when you don’t have any characters, just robots who generate their words and actions with a random number generator.
- Storytelling – F – What the fuck.
- Voice – F – It’s definitely unique I’ll give it that. Uniquely stupid.
- Characters – F – Only poorly programmed robots here.
- Attention Grab – C – Not boring but when it makes so little sense who cares?
- Production – B – I feel sorry for all the people who had to waste their time bringing this “vision” to life.
- Overall – F
Recommendations – Ask some five-year old kid to make up a story for you, I guarantee it will be better.
Draggle confirmed for non-genius.
I admit it
Surprised you stuck to this for so long. I dropped this when they dropped a turd in the cockpit….
So, like, you could have dropped it in any episode a character entered a cockpit?
