Mahouka 07 — Tatsuya, Man of Suffering

mahouka_07_15

He was despised and rejected by others;
a man of suffering and acquainted with infirmity;
and as one from whom others hide their faces
he was despised, and we held him of no account.

mahouka_07_16

Surely he has borne our infirmities
and carried our diseases;
yet we accounted him stricken,
struck down by God, and afflicted.

mahouka_07_12

But he was wounded for our transgressions,
crushed for our iniquities;
upon him was the punishment that made us whole,
and by his bruises we are healed.
All we like sheep have gone astray;
we have all turned to our own way,
and the Lord has laid on him
the iniquity of us all.

mahouka_07_17

He was oppressed, and he was afflicted,
yet he did not open his mouth;
like a lamb that is led to the slaughter,
and like a sheep that before its shearers is silent,
so he did not open his mouth.
By a perversion of justice he was taken away.
Who could have imagined his future?

mahouka_07_18

For he was cut off from the land of the living,
stricken for the transgression of my people.
They made his grave with the wicked
and his tomb with the rich,

mahouka_07_7

although he had done no violence,
and there was no deceit in his mouth.

Further Thoughts

Erika, the Dick Cheney of anime. Can’t wait until she accidentally shoots somebody in the face with a shotgun.

mahouka_07_4

Yeah, no. This is not Code Geass. Fail.

Of course Tatsuya, our man of action, has to ride a humvee through the fence into the enemy base. These right-wingers and their puerile soldiering fantasies…

So our disciplinary committee attacks a building, armed to the teeth, enjoys torturing a bunch of people who are totally defenseless before their magic, and laugh together about how they don’t intend to take any prisoners. What brave, courageous heroes! Thank God there is someone to stand up for justice and all that is right!

mahouka_07_6

Seem familiar?

sao_24_32

This is just like that great episode of Sword Art Online where Kirito turns the pain up to the maximum level and tortures his defenseless enemy to the death, slowly chopping off his body parts one by one. What brave men, honorable men! This is what justice is!

Also, none of the students are being charged with anything, because the school’s accountability would come under scrutiny.

That’s right, the school’s official disciplinary committee just staged a military raid on a civilian meeting place, injured hundreds of people, and took pleasure in making these people suffer as much as possible. And they are worried that the schools “accountability” might come under question.

Oh, no, they were never going to charge those people! They’re heroes! Just like Dick Cheney and our troops at Abu Gharib and Guantanmo Bay and the CIA and NSA! It’s the students who participated in some protests who deserve to go on trial as traitors!

I was planning to continue writing a fanfiction but I honestly don’t have the stomach for it. This is just fucking sick. It’s like the author somehow mixed up the definitions of right and wrong when he was a child and no one ever bothered to correct him.

mahouka_07_3

Oh, also, remember how Mibu used to believe in equality and think she was oppressed? Obviously, it was because she was brainwashed. How could anyone else think something so silly? She was only oppressing herself!

mahouka_07_9

And her father has to thank Tatsuya on her behalf. Because it’s the father’s job to take care of a woman until he hands her over to her husband.

Which has been found. The important thing is that he’s seriously smitten with her. It doesn’t matter what she thinks at all. Obviously. Tatusya is too good for her anyway.

    1. Lol you missed Mentar, he was going around on every single blog for the first couple episodes defending this show (mine included)

  1. “Oh, no, they were never going to charge those people! They’re heroes! Just like Dick Cheney and our troops at Abu Gharib and Guantanmo Bay and the CIA and NSA! It’s the students who participated in some protests who deserve to go on trial as traitors!”

    Oh man, you think this is already bad? You’ve seen nuthin’ yet. Abe would be proud.

  2. blame the whore miyuki shiba. She’s the one who instigates the whole incest situation. It’s already bad enough that they set up a school life, but now they’re putting out a magician supremacy over the common people to make it worse!

    I’m sorry, it sounds like you think America is good guys. Only Japan is good guys. Arigoto.

  4. This is the episode with the weak ass debate, right? True story, up until that point I was watching this ignorant of what the source was, and had hope that the… whatever the hell the author saying, was simply character opinion. At that point, though, I realized the show just sucked. I mean, on the fly, in like two seconds I came up with a better argument that the opposition. Like literally, from the moment the leaning resources line was spoken to the next character speaking, a half assed copy of elo scores and scheduled face offs came to mind. It doesn’t really solve anything, but it was still infinitely better than the shit the real debater was saying. And it could have been an interesting plot device or something. Hell, with the setting, it’s weird that this wasn’t how the school was structured from the beginning.

    Whatever, commenting on a years old blog post.
