A princess and a witch save their country from invasion.

Well, this show had one of the best first episodes of the season.  And then… yeah…

What a disaster. Like… wtf? After the first episode, I can’t think of a single thing this show did well. Actually, wait, the episode where the maid killed the spy was ok. More despite the show’s creators than because of them. But aside from that, wow, this was dumb.

The story is stupid. The princess finds a witch, but using her powers for war is forbidden. Then she just forgets about that because her princess is always right. Of course, the only way to use magic is to fly around and toss spears at fighter planes. By doing so she single handedly holds off the strongest army in the world. There are lots of politics that are also dumb.

Here’s a good example of the show’s brilliant dialogue, from the main villain:
