What do you all think of this season’s shows?
I am liking Active Raid more than Muv-Luv: The German Years and Dagashi more than Phantom World, but that might not be a popular opinion . Didn’t care for Pandora, Konosuba or Divine Gate, but I do laugh at the screen shots and gifs.
Gave active raid a second chance, and I liked it a lot better this time. I especially enjoyed the scene where she powered up the new robot and couldn’t do anything due to all the popup windows. Been there before…
I suggest you to continue watching Ajin for a while, much of the fun comes from characters that still haven’t been introduced (and will pretty soon if it keeps progressing at a similar pace).
Ok I’m giving it a second chance with better subtitles!
I managed to avoid overpowered high school LNs for three seasons now yay!
… but still got Active Raid, Haruchika and Divine Gate.
As per policy of not dropping animes (I am a masochist completionist) here is my ranking of the new shows this season after three episodes (I removed the sequels and the spinoffs).
1. Shouwa Rakugo – the easy and far runaway winner this season
2. Erased (Bokumachi) – the worthy runner up
3. Ajin – the season’s most chilling story but was destroyed by CGIs
4. Dimension W – everything about it is cool… substantial? That’s about it. Cooooool.
5. Rainbow Days – K On! Now with boys as the MCs. It’s cute though.
6. Prince of Stride – An average sports show… Well, with otome twist and fujoshi pandering.
7. Sekkou Boys – Don’t ask me why I am watching this show. It’s stupid and it knows that it’s stupid so I am laughing!
8. Bubuki Buranki – Animation? Cool. Narration? What Narration?
9. Phantom World – This might get higher as the episodes are getting better.
10. Active Raid – So this is a comedy. Ha. ha. Ha.
11. Dagashi Kashi – So this is a comedy too. Ha. Ha. Ha.
12. Divine Gate – Pretentiousness galore! Woooo! How can I hate it?
13. Norn 9 – It’s just… fine.. Nothing else. I am expecting an epic war sometimes soon.
14. Haruchika – ZZZZZZZZZZZ…. Is it done yet?
I honestly liked #5 and above but I can watch any of these… since they are not bad enough or too bland for me to hate.

Well, I laughed with the pop ups as well. I mean, that was unexpected but welcomed humor from Active Raid. Episode three is just…. ugh, in my opinion. Nonetheless, it has its own brand of humor.
Yeah. The rest was not that funny.
I really need to check out more of these previous posts before I commit each season…
