Internet addicts are sent to a school where they are abused.

This easily numbers among the worst anime I have ever watched. And I’ve watched a lot of anime, so I don’t say that lightly.

Everything about it is terrible. The animation is an atrocity. I have never seen anything so ugly. Why… why would anyone do such a thing? I would recommend not watching it just for that.

The story is likewise terrible. It includes lots of abuse as well as rape. (And it’s not like the rape has any sort of sex appeal, which I assume they were going for? They even failed at that.) One of the chief abusers ends up turning into a good guy of sorts. And the main character starts out as a terrible cowardly shit, and turns into a brave terrible shit and saves the school. I’m pretty sure once he grows up he’ll become a serial killer and / or a war criminal. The “morals” of this story are also horrible.

The character development is non-existent. The only one who changes at all is the main character, who goes into prison one day and comes out a few weeks later a hardened criminal mastermind. If they told me he was replaced by aliens it would make more sense. Why does anyone do anything they do? Who the fuck knows.

With all of that, it sounds terrible, but at least it’s interesting, right? Nope. They managed to make this unbelievable story of horrible abuse unbelievably boring. For example, one of the big climaxes of the story, when the main character seizes control of the school from his rival (who showed up, like, the previous episode? maybe) takes the form of an epic contest. A contest of standing at attention. For several hours. Just… why…?

Ordinarily in a review, I try to find at least one good thing to say about a show.

Nope. Can’t do it.
