Handa-kun is good at calligraphy and bad at human interaction.
The second half of this was pretty decent. The first half, the opening segment… I don’t know what they were thinking. You essentially have to have read the manga to enjoy it. Definitely doesn’t seem like the best way to introduce the story to a new audience.
It was pretty mediocre. Shame, I’m a huge fan of the manga. Oh well, if nothing else maybe the anime will lead to merch.
Terrible first episode, but the later episodes did turn out much better.
