Interesting episode. Certainly not what I was expecting.
The whole thing with Red Axe was odd in that he at first appears to be a total slimeball, just cashing out on the Samurai Flamenco thing for all it’s worth. Then he is moved to tears and does a complete about face.
The policeman thinks he’s lying through his teeth, but I’m not entirely sure. Well, he certainly is lying through his teeth about his motivations. There’s just no way that teaching our hero a lesson was anywhere in his plans. However, his apology does seem genuine.
Claiming Samurai Flamenco is his “student” at the end was pretty funny. This guy’s great at PR.
The weirdest thing about the whole episode is how the manager refuses to cash in on this new found fame. What does she have against superheroes? Seems like the perfect opportunity to turn this guy into a full-fledged celebrity. Yet she seems to want to avoid all the attention. I don’t get it.
Because she wants to build an image of a ‘cool guy’ for her model?
Wearing tight red suit, bike helmet and a flu mask is certainly uncool (for some people)
Yes, it is popular, but it attracts another kind of fans from what she planned.
Sometimes you have to change your plans when things change.
For me, my favorite part of the episode was when Hidenori was having an “Oh Shit, I’m totally enjoying this” moment.
Haha yeah his reactions are pretty amusing.
