Another excellent episode of Mirai Nikki! Let’s look a bit into the show’s pseudo-religious mumbo jumbo.
If Akise is an existence created by Deus, then this seems to imply that everyone else is not. However, the winner of the survival game is supposed to create the new universe in his own image. Continue reading Mirai Nikki 22 — Cosmology and Metaphysics
As Robert Jackson, chief prosecutor for the US, said of Nazi Germany at the Nuremberg trials:
The central crime in this pattern of crimes, the kingpin which holds them all together, is the plot for aggressive wars.
I really can’t see Luscinia and Lilliana’s side of this at all, although it seems like the creators are trying to make this seem morally ambiguous. Ouch!
Now this episode is what I’ve been waiting for! Less overconfident and arrogant characters trading pleasantries, and more getting knocked around! Continue reading Moretsu Pirates 11 — A Good Smackin’
This is off to a great start. I like the characters so far, it’s exciting and full of action, and the world is detailed and filled with the kind of technology only Leiji Matsumoto can design.
So far the only works by Leiji Matsumoto I’ve seen are Space Battleship Yamato and the first half of Harlock, so indulge me when I compare this more recent work with his older ones. First, of course the animation is more modern, which is nice. But the biggest difference is the women.
Their faces don’t all look the same! She doesn’t even have long, straight hair! I love it! Continue reading Ozma — First Impression
This show is at its best when it’s completely ridiculous. And that’s what this episode was.
Now, the fiancee can be annoying at times. But he’s generally amusing, especially with how he’s dragging Karuta around with him. The way I see it, anything that distracts from the teenage drama between Ririchiyo and Souta can only be a good thing. Continue reading Inu X Boku SS 10 — A Dazzling Orgy
