At first I was unimpressed. It felt like another bad romance show that happened to involve omnyouji.
But then the end of the episode… This girl shows up out of nowhere in this ridiculous outfit, licking a chocolate-covered banana. Then three CG cars with pigeon missile launchers appear and start firing her. The girl summons a giant CG robot, kicks ass, and gives the main character a big kiss in front of the girl that has a crush on him.
I’m still not sure I would say the show is good, necessarily, but at least it kept me interested by doing something I was certainly not expecting.

It could have done without the awful CG. When are people going to realize that CG and low budgets don’t work well together?
I personally thought the CG cars were hilarious…
