I wouldn’t exactly say it was a “good” first episode, but it had a lot of things I like, mainly loads of pseudo-historical conspiracy theory bullshit. It definitely kept the pace up to an extent that I wasn’t bored, which is more than you can say of a lot of anime.

I have no clue what’s going to happen with the rest of the series though, seeing as how the episode ended with a seven year gap and all the characters fully grown. Based on the ending, it looks like all the girls’ breasts have more than fully grown so it could be one of those shows too. (which makes me even more likely to keep watching, obviously)
