Finally things are getting interesting!
I think most people saw the twist with the Tree of Genesis being the dangerous one coming. But I can’t say I was expecting the time travel paradox.
Finally I can say that something interesting is going on in this story, but it still isn’t presented very well. Since Hakaze is actually part of the main discussion now, she can’t be used to present random disembodied exposition. So instead we turn to her friend!
Speaking of which, this guy really pisses me off. The world is about to get destroyed, some guy just murdered his friend, and he’s staying “neutral”? Dude, seriously? Why don’t you get off your lazy ass and do something?
But still, let’s give credit where credit is due. At least something’s happening other than people talking about their feelings and having flashbacks and exposition dumps.

How do you die in that position?
Why didn’t they use these on the giant floating eyeballs that turned everyone to stone?
Who’d a thunk it?
We all thank you from the bottom of our hearts. The truest line of the episode.
Seriously, you think this is going to convince anyone?
I’ve lost all hope. I’ll keep watching just to see how it end, but it would take a miracle to salvage the plot at this point.
Pretty much. I do think they did a better job with the plot here than with No. 6, although that’s not saying much.
“Why didn’t they use these on the giant floating eyeballs that turned everyone to stone?”
Probably because any organism that reaches the vicinity of the eye will be turned to stone regardless of their current location?
Oh right. Still, you’d think they could at least try to shoot some long range missiles at them or something.
