Platinum End Review — F

A bunch of dumbasses argue about philosophy.

Did you ever hear the joke about the pilot, the priest, the boy scout, and the smartest man in the world? The pilot and the smartest man in the world take parachutes and jump out because they have important things to do even though there aren’t enough parachutes. The priest is trying to get the boy scout to take the last parachute. But then he says, “it’s ok, we can both take one. The smartest man in the world took my backpack.”

That is what it felt like watching this show. It is supposed to be really heady, complicated thought about deep things with a character who is literally supposed to be the smartest man in the world. But it is all so juvenile. All these people should try reading a book.

Aside from being just plain dumb, the show suffered from a lack of focus. The first half was more of a thriller death game scenario, while the second half was all talking. I liked the first half better because it was at least entertaining even if it was equally dumb.

And then we got to the ending, which was a whole extra layer of stupidity….

The most awful part about this show though has to be the “romance”. What the fuck was that bullshit.

Can’t believe I watched all of this.
