Ninjas! Except they just go to school and argue all day.

I was lookin forward to this after the first episode when the main character fell for a honey trap. Sadly that was not at all indicative of what we had to look forward to for the remainder of the story.

This show honestly made me angry, it was such a bait an switch. I expected ninjas and betrayal and cool action shit. Instead the ninjas work to rule the world peacefully from the shadows through the ninja UN an the ninja police. And God were both of these institutions idiotic and boring.

This was the issue with this show generally. It tried to do so many things, but it did all of them in the most generic and half-assed way. It tried to have politics: wow did it fail here. It had robots. They sucked. It had a school. They forgot about it halfway through and it never mattered. They had a traitor. Whatever, she apologized. It had what I thought would be a love interest that they pretty much discarded halfway through. They tried to make the main character grow and be cool. Here I think was the greatest failure: at the end of the show, he was still absolutely pathetic. His only personality trait was being a pushover.

Anyway, just go watch Boruto instead. Boruto rules. It also has ninjas.
