Oda Nobuna no Yabou 05 — Extending the Harem of Little Girls

I’m starting to lose my patience a bit. Making most of the Sengoku warlords into women is one thing, but do we have to make them into sexually charged little girls?

Apparently the answer is yes.

It doesn’t help that our lead character is boring as sin. What a noble lad. He also wants to marry the prettiest girl in Japan, which Nobuna of course assumes means herself. Teenage boys do tend to have a one track mind, but this is ridiculous. All of the complaints people issue against Taichi in Kokoro Connect (wrongly, in my opinion) certainly do apply to this guy.

A bit of background: Takenaka Hanbei, before she was moeified into an onmyouji, was known as Takenaka Shigetoshi during his life: Hanbei was a name given to him afterwards. He was known as a brilliant strategist, and fought the Asai clan before joining Oda Nobunaga and serving under Hideyoshi. As far as I could conclude from my research, he did not have the power to command shikigami.

  1. The important factor that the Saru should set his mind is that after unifying Japan is to make sure that commodore Perry’s frigates doesn’t enter tokyo bay to impose sanctions on the shogunate, and do away with the seclusion thingy, open Japan to trade and start colonizing south east asia so when WWII arrives Japan won’t have to resort to pearl harbor attack, kamikazes and sending the yamato to a hopeless battle.

    1. Yeah, it would be interesting to see the differences the alternate history played projected into the distant future. I kind of wonder if without the isolationism the Pacific Theater of WWII would have even been fought.

      1. well, it’s possible that the pacific war will be still fought but on a very different stance, since if this history played into the future the things that happened during the meiji restoration such as modernization of the Imperial Army and Navy would have materialized earlier, not to mention Nobuna is fond of western war techs such as rifles, with Japan never entering into a period of stagnation then it’s possible that at the time of 1939 Japan could have completely dominated China and Korea as well as some parts of South Eas Asia with those resources acquired early Japan can equal the production rate of that of the US and therefore can fight the war on more equal terms or maybe more superior, lol considering this show has loli spear wielding girls and ninja’s that stops bullets then it would be a total victory for Japan LMAO! hahaha, I really enjoy commenting in your blog mate.

        1. True, they probably could have gotten more of a head start in China and Korea. If they had time to industrialize China and Korea (more pertinently, if they wanted to) they probably could have equaled the US’ production capacity.

Definitely, it would have been no contest. They probably wouldn’t have even need to industrialize, they can just send an army of spearmen to take out an aircraft carrier.

  2. Attacking SEA is a good prospect at that time Spain had become too weak to have effective control of it’s colonies there.

  3. The scene in your first pic made me feel a bit uncomfortable as I think it’s fairly degrading. Apart from that I don’t mind the girls and the chibis and Mitsuhide are my favourites. I don’t like Oda Nobuna that much, actually, as she is constantly showing off that bra which is not my cup of tea and doesn’t fit in the era, either. Hanbei wasn’t that cool, either. I would have preferred if they had to deal with that really cool onmyouji instead.

Re Saru: I don’t like him at all. He is way too overpowered and overconfident and has a bad character, too. I think with prettiest girl of Japan he indeed is referring to Oda Nobuna herself.

Agreed. The second screenshot was nearly as bad in context though. Oda Nobuna’s fashion sense is disappointing.

Saru is pretty full of himself. I wish he would get humiliated once in a while. I don’t thin he’s intentionally referring to Nobuna, but it’s hard to say.
