For most of its run, Campione was an inoffensive and forgettable harem series, with a bonus of occasional pseudo-mystical gibberish thrown in. Then in episode twelve, the show lost its marbles. Our hero shares a passionate kiss with the heroine, then starts humping her. And that’s only the beginning.

Hideyoshi and Nobunaga enter a dream world and fight in a battle between rice and wheat. Sengoku Collection episode 8. The most brilliant episode of 2012. I’m not even going to try to explain why because I’ll fail to do it justice. Go watch it now. You don’t need to watch the rest of the series, it doesn’t matter. Just take a look at this episode, you won’t regret it.

Sword Art Online, Episode 10. It was this explosion of fiery passion that made me begin writing my wildly accurate SAO episode summaries (I’ve been calling them fanfictions, but they really follow the show quite accurately).
