A bunch of world rulers sitting around a table decide that their only option is to destroy the world for some reason. Okay.
Captain tells Ange about how she used to lead a resistance movement. They have to do it naked in the bath of course.
Vivi turns into a D.R.A.G.O.N. Suddenly the D.R.A.G.O.N.s are infinitely cuter.
The children go look at the mass grave filled with humans they just killed.
What a surprise.
Ch. 12 Discussion
Can’t say I’m too surprised at the twist. But it does work out quite nice thematically. The norma abuse was rather obviously unjust, but at the same time the norma were doing even worse things to others without even realizing it. Of course the analogy doesn’t quite hold since the dragons were trying to kill them…
The villains in this show aren’t very compelling. Especially Ange’s brother. He’s one of the rulers of the world, and he wants to destroy it and rebuild it from scratch? I thought he liked to oppress the Norma. Eh, whatever.
Ch. 13 Summary
Ange’s brother starts a “rescue” mission to attack the island and murder everyone. The Norma rebellion begins.
Vivian is kidnapped. Hilda takes a bullet for her stupid friends.
Salia is taking Ange underground, but Momoka helps her escape with her cooking supplies.
God appears and blames Ange’s brother for everything. Ange goes on a killing Spree. Tusk does too and rescues Vivian.
Salia cries about how the commander needs Ange more. Boo-fucking-hoo. Ange tells her how much she liked being in prison and how she’s mad at her brother for ruining it. She knocks Salia into the water. Salia calls Ange a fatass.
God walks around kidnapping people.
Ange kicks ass and shoots her brother in the leg. She’s about to kill him when God appears.
Turns out God was actually bringing dead people back to life. God kills Ange’s brother so Ange doesn’t have to.
Oh and somehow whoever this is has wings. Whatevs.
Ch. 13 Thoughts
What’s going on?!! It’s been weeks since anyone was anally raped! It’s almost like Cross Ange has become a normal mecha show! It’s starting to lose all its appeal. I mean, without anal rape, fighting in the bath, and all that, what does Cross Ange have left?
Oh dont you worry draggle you. Judging by the episode 14 preview you’ll get plenty of anal rape next time!

As soon as they started to make a story out of this (somewhat entertaining) mess, the whole thing turned into a generic mecha-show. Now Ange even claimed to love living in Arzenal for some reason. I really feel like I’ve watched a different show from what the script-writer of these episodes is describing because as far as I know Ange hated almost everything about Arzenal. And the way she showed that wasn’t that subtle either. All of a sudden she behaves like a generic anime-protagonist which makes me wonder why this series even bothered with going so far in the first couple episodes.
Exactly! WTF? How could she possibly say she likes Arzenal… Well, it’s still possible she could redeem herself. I’m hoping that after she destroys her brother’s fleet, she goes on to destroy the prison and betray the commander. Guess you have to pick your battles though, and it makes sense to take on the strongest enemy first.
I actually ended up skimming quickly through both those eps. It’s gone from awful to average and if it doesn’t get worse soon I think I’m just going to drop it. So sad.
A tragedy… it’s no longer awful… so disappointing…
