Hataage! Kemono Michi Review — B+

A pro wrestler becomes a hero and tries to open a pet shop.

It had the same energy level and sheer idiocy levels of KonoSuba. Probably more in the stupidity department, honestly. Carmilla… oh my, it’s hard to believe anyone could be so dumb. Although all the characters are idiots in their own way.

It was a lot of fun to watch! But, it did feel a bit more disjointed than KonoSuba, and probably could have benefited from somewhat of a straight man character a la Kazuma. Never thought I’d find myself saying that, but here we are. And some of the “humor” could honestly be a bit much. Mainly with the princess, and also with that wolf guy who they repeatedly sexually assaulted…

  • Storytelling – B – It was funny! But issues mentioned above.
  • Voice – A – Love the setup and levels of craziness.
  • Characters – A – Wild.
  • Attention Grab – A – Never lost my interest.
  • Production – B – Looks pretty good, great voice acting.
  • Overall – B+

RecommendationsKonoSuba, Tantei Opera Milky Holmes
