I thought while watching the episode it was going to be yaoi, but I guess it was supposed to be a comedy? Haha, my new boss doesn’t abuse me like my old one did, he is just goofy. I didn’t really find it funny… Would have been better if his boss actually was Goofy, the disney character.

29. The Kingdoms of Ruin
The first episode was well made. But I’ve read the manga and to be frank it’s a pretty nasty revenge story. No desire to go through this again.

Decent first episode if you like this kind of thing. Glad we’re getting a show about firefighters instead of cops this time.

I’ve read the manga, and it is one of those that just goes on and on without much progress. I’ve lost interest at this point. First episode didn’t seem particularly good either.

Credit where credit is due, it certainly has a hook. But I’ve been bitten in the ass by way too many light novel adaptations at this point to fall for it.

Great first episode. But… it’s sports. I hate sports. Don’t let that discourage you though. Seemed amazing when I watched it back to back with MF Ghost.

The main character is my fellow connoisseur of trash, so I feel obligated to watch this. The real life parts were fine, the video game parts were lame. Hopefully it was just setting things up…

Giant robots fight the ugliest monsters ever. I love mecha, but the first episode never grabbed me. The characters seem lame…

For a show about video games, God that video game they’re playing looks terrible. It wasn’t a terrible first episode, but very much your wish fulfillment video gamer show.

Loved the animation style. Fluffy and cute, probably not my thing. Not what I expected based on the title.

14. Magic Sword Master of Holy Sword School
I love these perverted magic school shows, and based on the first episode this looks like the best one since Akashic Records.

13. KamiErabi GOD.app
I am not entirely sure what to make of this, but it’s definitely interesting. Likewise, not sure if the animation is amazing or the worst thing I’ve ever seen. Probably both at once. It’s a killing game premise like we’ve seen before but definitely feels different. Looking forward to seeing where this goes.

12. The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, REALLY Love You
I like the manga in principle but it’s absolutely exhausting to read. Just so much going on. I’m actually looking forward to the anime more, as I think it will force it to chill slightly. Great first episode.

I liked this way more than I expected. A smart alleck pig protagonist who won’t shut up and the demure maid girl have a surprising chemistry.

5. 16bit Sensation – Another Layer
Girl who loves bishoujo games goes back in time to 1992. Another isekai that I’m super excited about. Really cool first episode.

4. Tearmoon Empire
All those other isekais could really benefit from having a protagonist with even a fraction of the personality and character growth as this one. I’m pumped.

3. Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End
This is one of my favorite ongoing manga, and the anime seems great as well. Basically Tale of the Heike for babies.

I have been looking forward to this for years. Did not disappoint!

1. Undead Unluck
This was such a joy to watch. Looked amazing too. Hopefully they can keep this up!

This season is way too good. I’ve already dropped like five shows I kind of liked. And Pluto isn’t even out yet. What do you all think?
