Why Raeliana Ended up at the Duke’s Mansion Review — C+

Isekai with a woman lead.

I felt it had a strong start but then squandered its potential and ended up okay at best. The start was very emotional with all the risks and the mysterious duke but as you got to know him the feeling of danger started to wane off. Then we got bogged down in bizarre sidequests like flirting with the pope.

Decent show but no one’s going to remember it in a few years.

I don’t follow how things are made too closely, so correct me if I’m wrong— but I do think this is both the first show produced by Crunchyroll(?) and the first anime adaptation of a Korean comic that didn’t totally suck. So that’s good.

  • Storytelling – C – Good start but lost momentum.
  • Voice – C – The world is fairly standard, I guess the romance setup is ok.
  • Characters – B – I did like the main two.
  • Attention Grab – C – Lost interest by the end.
  • Production – B – The music’s great actually.
  • Overall – C+
