29. Visual Prison
A powerpoint show followed by edgy vampire bishies singing shitty music. Pass.

28. Build Divide #000000 Code Black
A lengthy card game tutorial. A shame because the first two minutes weren’t bad.

27. The Vampire Dies in No Time
Just like the title. I think it was supposed to be funny. It was not.

26. Megaton-kyuu Musashi
Eh, I probably would have liked it when I was twelve.

25. Shikizakura
Pretty boring. I’ve liked other shows with this animation style (Bubuki Buranki) but it’s not really working here.

24. Muteking the Dancing Hero
I’m too old.

23. PuraOre! Pride of Orange
My two favorite genres in one: sports and cute girls doing cute things. I can’t wait. Also the OP has them dancing as idols in the skating rink so let’s just say it’s all three of my favorite genres at once.

22. Selection Project
I am done with idols.

21. Tesla Note
The content wasn’t terrible but damn it’s ugly.

20. Mieruko-chan
A cute girl is bullied by monsters. I feel like some people might enjoy this, but it is definitely not for me.

19. The Fruit of Evolution: Before I Knew It, My Life Had It Made
A guy is too powerful and marries a gorilla who evolves into a hot girl. We’re really scraping the bottom of the barrel for ideas here.

18. Deep Insanity – The Lost Child
This felt like I was watching the tutorial of a C-list RPG. I would much rather play a C-list RPG than watch this, actually.

17. Blue Period
It’s fine. But the manga is so much better that I can’t see myself bothering with this.

16. Muv-Luv Alternative
I guess the first one was in Russia and this one is in Japan. It’s not my favorite show but I am a bit nostalgic for these giant robot shows with the giant boob wetsuits and the ugly aliens and the stupidly bloody murderfests.

15. takt op.Destiny
It looked pretty, and I like that it’s in America! Vaguely reminds me of parts of Eureka 7 although I don’t think the characters are at that level. The “comedy” was mostly a miss though.

14. The Night Beyond the Tricornered Window
This was actually really good! Don’t think I’ll watch it since it’s not my genre though. Exorcising ghosts by being gay.

13. Banished from the Hero’s Party, I Decided to Live a Quiet Life in the Countryside
This was nice! I loved the different twist on the fantasy setting when the main character is kicked out for being too weak and then decides to make the best of it but is clearly a bit upset. It was surprisingly kind of emotional.

12. The World’s Finest Assassin Gets Reincarnated in Another World as an Aristocrat
An isekai where the main character was previously an elderly expert assassin. The start was a lot of fun, looking forward to see where this goes.

11. Taisho Otome Fairy Tale
Aww this was sweet. I hope we get more of the main guy’s family’s being shitheads though to complement the young lovey devey adorableness. I’ve found with these kinds of shows they often have a nice hook in the first episode and then mostly forget about it.

10. My Senpai is Annoying
This was pretty cute. From the title I thought it would be like Uzaki-chan but actually here senapi’s problem is that he is too kind. Really liked the ED.

9. Komi Can’t Communicate
This is the rare case where the anime seems set to be way better than the manga it’s based on! It’s beautifully put together!

8. The Faraway Paladin
It had a good start and I know the manga for this is really good so I’m quite excited!

7. Rumble Garandoll
LMAO that was great. Good sense of humor. The robots are lame though.

6. Platinum End
This was bullshit!!! Exactly my type of bullshit.

5. AMAIM Warrior at the Borderline
Now these are the kind of robots I’m talking about!!! The politics are highly questionable but eh, it’s nowhere near Mahouka level. My standards are low.

4. Irina: The Vampire Cosmonaut
Love it just for the setting! The fantasy USSR space program!!!

3. Ranking of Kings
Whoaaaa the main character and how everyone treats him is great!!

2. Heike Monogatari
Oooh yes I am so pumped for this. Reminds me of Hyouge Mono. The art is amazing.

1. Sakugan
A father and daughter going on an underground post-apocalyptic adventure in giant robots? FUCK YES. Amazing first episode.
