A grouchy old man lectures children.
I like some of the ideas behind this— specifically the little girl being taken in by an old man and the take on wonderland. But it doesn’t leave me with much to be excited about.
Largely it was just kind of dull. Everyone is fundamentally a good person but they just have silly misunderstandings regarding the basic functionality of the universe. There isn’t much conflict to speak of after the first arc. Which also ended in very little conflict despite the misleading fight scenes towards the beginning.
The old guy didn’t offer much either. Like maybe he could impart some wisdom or something? Nope, it’s all “listen to what I say!” but said in a very authoritative and patient way.
I don’t get what the point of this was. Why would anyone care?
