A group of prisoners repels an invasion by the Mongols.

Really liked this first episode! The animation isn’t too great, but the story seems interesting so far. Most importantly, I don’t think I’ve ever seen another anime on this time period and this sequence of events. I love the semi-historical anime but they’re always focused on the stupid samurai.

The characters all have a lot of potential, especially the main character and the princess. A good number of the prisoners look like they could turn out interesting as well.
