Chaos Dragon — First Impressions

As you all know, I love fantasy, but this has to be some of the laziest storytelling I’ve ever seen. The writers just make whatever’s convenient for the plot happen without rhyme or reason. The characters seem to just teleport to wherever they need to be. The characters are shallow tropes who seem unlikely to receive any further development.

They seem to be just tacking on standard events and ideas without giving any thought to why those ideas techniques tend to work, and without even trying to add anything new to them. For example, this girl’s death was one of the cheapest and most ineffective means of emotional manipulation I’ve ever seen. She’s said like two sentences, barely even know who she is, and are supposed to be crying when she has this over the top super dramatic death? Um, no. I’m just laughing. Pretty much everything in this show is just unbelievably lazy. For example, they couldn’t even come up with names for the dragons. They are called “Red Dragon”, “Black Dragon”, etc. And the main villain in this episode is some fat guy with a big mustache.
