Pretty good first episode. Looks nice, has a lot of character. Nice hair colors.

I’ve heard people saying it’s the sequel to AKB0048. I definitely am not going to go that far. But it does have a similar setup. I feel like it’s much more in the tradition of Macross (surprise, surprise) which is quite different. Less of the ridiculousness, more serious drama and love stories, less the more personal drama that truly tugs at the heart that AKB0048 had. But we’ll see how things go.
