This review is part of the Reverse Thieves Secret Santa project. I was also recommended Rainbow and Silent Mobius, which I was planning to watch as well. Unfortunately, that never happened. I probably would have enjoyed those more, but with my trip over the last two weeks I didn’t have much time.

Campione! Goes Batshit Crazy — Eleven Days of Advent and One Day of Christmas #9

For most of its run, Campione was an inoffensive and forgettable harem series, with a bonus of occasional pseudo-mystical gibberish thrown in. Then in episode twelve, the show lost its marbles. Our hero shares a passionate kiss with the heroine, then starts humping her. And that’s only the beginning.

Shin Sekai Yori 11 + 12 — Strength and Weakness

We’re back from the abyss of the previous episode, where we spent twenty minutes staring at Saki’s poorly animated crotch and crying over a dead puppy. This is back on the right track now.

I do think this show would do better if it had an extra season though. The pacing is fast.

 A Replacement

The school board and / or ethics committee wipes Shuu’s existence from everyone’s memory. This shouldn’t be too surprising given what we’ve seen of the village so far.
