Mechas fight aliens in East Germany while the Stasi murder the pilots.

I guess this is some sort of Muv Luv spinoff? Not really sure.

The intro with the aliens eating people alive was kind of gross, but after that it got more watchable. The thing with the secret police makes this much more interesting than it would be on its own with just fighting the aliens. Still the same kind of hopeless despair against fighting an invincible enemy that made Muv Luv interesting, but this time with human enemies which makes it even worse.

My main complaint so far is that every single character is either an idiot or an asshole? I suppose it does make for more interesting drama. And I won’t feel as bad when they die.
