When this show was airing, I wasn’t particularly fond of it. But I was looking forward immensely to watching it today. I think it goes to show how horrible the past season of anime was.
Regardless, this episode did not disappoint! We start out fighting Caster’s monster from last time, with Berserker fighting Gilgamesh in midair from the top of a jet. The action was pretty exciting. Some people rip on me for always hating perverted anime. But that’s not true! I only hate boring perverted anime that tries to be something it’s not.
Most shows of this genre will attempt to have some meaningful, tear-jerking story. This attempt at a story is inevitably pointless and boring. Fortunately, High School DxD avoids this pitfall. If the point of the show is perversion, High School DxD goes all the way with a male lead who isn’t ashamed of himself (although he probably should be):
