Re Hamatora — First Impressions

Wow, these guys are such trolls.

It was an amusing episode. The best parts of this show are when they just go all out nuts. My favorite episode was the one last season where they dealt with all the naked men in the bathhouse. When they treat on more serious topics, like the plot, this show is just average.

My main complaint is that somehow, each episode of this show is extremely difficult to follow. You have to be paying extremely close attention, and even then I assume it’s easy to miss things. For example, I still have no idea why Nice died. The first season was similarly confusing at times.

Also I can’t believe Hajime actually did something. Sort of. Didn’t think it was possible.

  1. Wasn’t he shot by Art? The newspaper showed the incident on top of the ship, also how Nice died shortly after arriving at hospital.
It’s a pity that we trolled.
I would be jumping with joy, if he truly died and the protagonist got replaced with Hajime-chan or Honey & Three.

Definitely. It’s weird reading other people talk about it, so many of them hated that brilliant and awful and funny spa episode, while going crazy over the pretty dumb plot and taking it all completely seriously.

This episode was a good return to form though, especially with how silly they handled Nice returning. All the humour and the main characters interacting and doing silly things (Ratio & Birthday, and Honey & Three are all so entertaining) are the real strengths. And I’m loving that there’s lots more Hajime too.
