A love comedy. But… it looks like… the SMART GIRL WINS?!!! IS THIS EVEN POSSIBLE?!!! AN ENTIRE NEW WORLD IN ANIME LOVE COMEDIES IS OPENING BEFORE US.

The show does have its issues. Mainly some of the humor looks like it will get really old really fast. I’m already starting to get sick of the masochistic guy who loves to take abuse from everyone, and it’s only the first episode. Then we have the drunken older women who can’t get a boyfriend. Also not my favorite character trope. But I do like the two main leads so I’m willing to overlook this for now.

Plus, the animation is looking pretty darn great.

This show isn’t going to be anything particularly amazing (it is a love comedy, after all) but it’s certainly off to a good start. I’ll keep watching.

  1. I couldn’t stand the episode. Practically 90% of the plot felt like a carbon copy of Suzuka except with decent visuals. But that’s not enough to make me overlook the warning bells that I’m going to get mad if I continue with this, so I’m bailing early.

    1. Can’t really blame you. I think it’s more along the lines of Love Hina then Suzuka though. I occasionally like those kinds of shows. Love Hina and Nagasarete Airantou were good. That said, this one’s sense of humor does not look promising.
