Inu x Boku SS 02 — Pants?

Those are optional in the Ayakashi House. Ayakashi don’t need pants!

I commented last week that Ririchiyo and Soushi have this great chemistry between them and are a joy to watch. Well, this week’s episode raised my enthusiasm for this show significantly, because it’s not just them. It’s all the characters.

This episode, I especially enjoyed Renshou (the scroll). Usually childhood friends are the dullest characters of any show. But this guy’s interesting! I like his relationship with Ririchiyo, how he always teases her. He’s pleasantly loose and laid back. And most importantly, they make great use of his alternate form! I loved how Ririchiyo went and wiped the spill off (they really are close) and how he just flew off in the breeze to search.

In what is perhaps an even bigger surprise, Renshou gets along well with Soushi. They team up in their concern for Ririchiyo, and Soushi even takes to calling Renshou “big brother”. Combined with Ririchiyo’s annoyance at how they team up on her, they make an entertaining trio.

I don’t think I even need to explain the lesbian and the deadpan loli. This is perfect.

Everyone got their wish for more Ririchiyo costumes! I love her demon form!

So cute! Although I’m not sold on the two straps from her stockings that go up under her skirt. It kind of looks like they ripped.

Awesome horns, in particular! I guess she is an oni?

Next week’s preview had her wearing some sort of dress, too. I think this will be a trend.

FYI, if you’re wondering where Guilty Crown is, it’s going to be late. But there is a big treat in store…

  1. Did not notice she lost her pants, lol. Thought she had on something really short XD

I am still not feeling most of the characters like you are, but I am warming up to them, personalities included. Well, mainly Ririchiyo, but she is becoming appealing. Do want more Yuri lady and Loli though ^^

    1. She actually did have pants, but it sure didn’t look like it from that camera angle and with the way she’s holding her shirt up like she’s hiding something. 🙂

  2. Have to agree about Renshou, but I really can’t stand Ririchiro. I don’t understand why she moved to Ayakashi Kan. I know it was to “be alone”, but it wasn’t like she had any friends in the first place. I mean, even Renshou said: “You don’t have a cell phone?! Well, I guess you didn’t have any friends to call.” Renshou went from so-so in the first episode to my favorite character in the blink of an eye. 😉

    1. I don’t know why either. I’m assuming that’s something that’s going to be explained more as the series progresses, along with her family history.

  3. I’m really happy that I’m liking the other characters as much as I’m liking the main duo, thanks to this episode. This show is already turning into one of my favorites for this season.

    1. Yeah, it has all the trappings and sparkliness of an annoying shoujo show yet it’s awesome. This is a show that has enough fanservice for both genders.

  4. Ririchiro’s demon form! Soooo cute and reminds me more of Hanyuu from Higurashi minus the bad ass weapon! And lol @ the cell phones, Haganai anyone? The best part of this series would be the random chibi moments! But they do use it a bit to much…

I was about to drop this series, but I will continue to check it out that and my brother is watching it xD

    1. I know, so cute! It is similar to Hanyuu, now that I think about it. Although Ririchiro has a much larger wardrobe to choose from.

  5. Agreed re the straps. I think it looks a bit slutty and not really appropriate for a kami/ youkai. The rest of the outfit is cool, though.
