Soul Eater Not! — First Impressions

A girl who is also a halberd falls into a lesbian love triangle.

It’s not bad… but there’s also nothing that leaves me wanting more. The original Soul Eater had a stronger start than this, but I still lost all interest after five episodes. The only thing this show has over the original Soul Eater is lesbian overtones.

It’s just… why should I care about these people? One of them can’t even remember her own name. Another is dumb. And the last one is an annoying tsundere, even by tsundere standards. Does the show exist solely to allow the characters from the original serious to make cool cameos? With these kinds of spinoffs, I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s the case.

I don’t understand why this series exists.
