This is part 13 of my SAO fanfiction. You can start with Part 1 here.
Kirito crashed into the wall with a bang. He had to reach Asuna with his sword that would pierce the heavens— he had to. And now something was in his way. Kirito prepared to solve this problem the way he’d solved all his problems before— by waving his giant swords at them.
“No, daddy, wait!” said Yui, as she carefully examined the obstacle. “This— it’s a diaphragm. And it belongs to mommy! She’s preventing everything from entering. You won’t be able to get through no matter how hard you try! This is to protect her from STDs (sword transmitted diseases) so there’s no way your sword will break this barrier.”
“We’ll see about that,” said Kirito, as he took drew his other blade. “I’ve never seen anything that my dual blades couldn’t penetrate.”
“No, Kirito, pleae, don’t!” cried Imouto. “You can’t get any higher from here! You’ll only dull your swords. I want you to keep them nice and sharp. Why don’t we just try to break through the other entrance?”
“Yes, Daddy, let’s try entering from the rear. I know that mommy wants you to come— this barrier was probably inserted by her evil captor!”
“Fine, we’ll do it your way,” said Kirito. “But I really do prefer entering from the front.” He sheathed his swords reluctantly.
“I have to go… I can’t hold it in any longer. I need to enter immediately and save Asuna.”
Kirito plummeted from the sky head first. He didn’t have a moment to wait. Imouto wondered why he had seemed to have so much free time to wander around on the way there if his quest was so important.
When Kirito entered through the rear, there was no barrier for protection, just as Imouto had said. But it was a trap. Thousands of angels flew out of the wall and threw things at Kirito— arrows, swords, broadswords, you name it.
Kirito turned angel after angel into shish kebab. As he did so, he grinned broadly.
It brought back good memories to swing his sword so freely again. As he swung, he remember all the times he had penetrated Asuna before. Ah, those were such happy days!
Alas, the number of enemies proved too much to handle, even for someone of Kirito’s skill. Kirito was pierced by countless broadswords, but he continued to fight on.
As Kirito fougth, his life flashed before his eyes. He remembered all the battles he had fought. The minotaur he had pierced with his sword. The lizardmen he had pierced with his sword. The ice dragon he had pierced with his sword. Kuradeel, the first man he had pierced with his sword.
Last of all Kirito recalled Eugene, the man he had pierced with his sword earlier this morning.
Kirito recalled all of these memories fondly. And yet, now that Kirito was on the receiving end, he found he didn’t enjoy it as much.
Kirito died and transformed into a ball of floating purple plasma.
He closed his eyes and remained motionless, waiting for the ten minute respawn timer to expire. He meditated. How did people enjoy this game? You had to wait so long doing nothing…
Suddenly, Kirito felt a gentle warmth envelop him. He opened his eyes.
It was Imouto! That idiot! She had come to rescue him! If Kirito had died, she wouldn’t stand a chance.
Imouto clutched Kirito tightly to her bosom. Then she fled out of the dungeon. Although she was filled with arrows, she managed to make it out alive.
Once they had escaped, Kirito finally told Imouto the reason for his quest (which she had never thought to ask about): he was going to save Asuna.
The realization hit Imouto as a shock. The man who looked like her brother, talked like her brother, and shared the same name as her brother… he was her brother! And she had fallen in love with him not once, but twice!
Imouto broke down crying and logged out. But she couldn’t flee from Kirito. He followed her through dimensions into the real world, and began to bang on her door. She opened the door to face the cold, harsh light of reality.
“Brother… the truth is, I found out! You and I aren’t really siblings! We’re only first cousins who have spent our lives together as brother and sister! So these raging uncontrollable feelings I have for you, there’s nothing wrong with them!”
“Now, pierce me with your sword just as you pierced Asuna! I won’t lose to her! Let me give Yui-chan a sister!”
“Imouto,” replied Kirito, considering his words carefully. This was a delicate situation. “I understand your feelings. But…”
“Let’s go back to ALfheim Online. I like the elf ears.”
“Yes, Onii-san… I mean, Kirito-kun!”
