I don’t think this whole anime is going to be like this. I think it’s sort of a collection of shorts from young (and penniless, obviously) animators.
Either way, I don’t know about the “learning how to cook” bit. I’m Italian and both me, my gf and my anime-watching FB friends found the recipe for their “pomodoro” positively frightening. Never used butter or god help me STOCK in making that.
