Cuticle Detective Inaba — First Impression

Our lead character is a dog who battles a goat with the power of hair.

This one’s another Gintama / Sketch Dance-style comedy. The problem is, it just throws jokes at you as fast as it can without caring whether any of them actually work. Most of them aren’t that funny. I did laugh for a few, but then my enjoyment was quickly dashed by another bad joke.

It would be much more enjoyable if it would just slow down and focus on the better jokes. Watching it made me feel tired more than anything else.

So far the characters don’t have the chemistry they had in Gintama, either. Shinpachi’s retorts don’t have the same force behind them, and Kagura is currently just a jerk to everyone but the main character, which isn’t exactly funny.

^^^^^ I was thinking the same thing! I did laugh at some of the jokes, but damn as soon as I laughed at that joke they threw another one at us! I was like wtf slow down…I think I will give it two more episodes before dropping even though I should just drop it and never look back hahah

  2. I agree, I half way through the episode I checked the time to see how close I was to the end… felt like 25 minutes and I was only 10 minutes in!

Too fast, too many bad jokes too many changes between nice looking anime art to the small cute versions…

I’ll probably give this one more shot before dropping it 🙂
