It’s a pretty strong season! I’m enjoying the top ten quite a bit, and the next six to an extent as well.

Ongoing Series / Sequels: Captain Earth, Fate Kaleid Liner / Prisma Ilya 2wei!, Free! Eternal Summer, Haikyuu!!, Hunter X Hunter, JoJo S2, Kuroshitsuji, Mahouka, Monogatari Series Second Season (that’s actually third season) Second Season, Re: _Hamatora, Sengoku Basara: Judge End, Space Dandy, Sword Art Online II

Shorts: Ai Mai Mi, Gundam-san, Himegoto, Shin Strange+, Yama no Susume S2

26. Momo Kyun Sword
Momotaro grows giant peaches on her chest.

25. Locodol
Boring idol show.

24. Seirei Tsukai no Blade Dance
Boring, completely pointless fanservice show of the season. Continue reading Summer 2014 — First Impressions →

Ongoing Series: Hunter X Hunter, Nisekoi, Nobunaga da Foo, Saki, Tonari no Seki-kun

Shorts: Don’t know, don’t care.

35. Sumo Wrestler Matsutaro
No.

34. Atelier Escha and Logy
Mixing stuff in a cauldron while being insufferably nice to each other. Zzzzzzzz.

33. La Corda d’Oro Blue Sky
Bishies.

32. Kamigami no Asobi
More bishies. At least these ones have flying unicorns.

31. Majin Bone
I’m not five years old. Continue reading Spring 2014 — First Impressions →

As always, take this “ranking” with a grain of salt. One or two places don’t mean much.

24. Super Sonico
This is completely pointless.

23. Nourin
Giant gross mounds of flesh attached to students at agricultural school.

As usual, here’s my rankings of the season’s new shows based on the first episode or so. You can click the links for details, so I’ll keep the discussion of each short. We’ll see how well this matches my ending thoughts.

Ongoing Series: Hunter X Hunter, Monogatari Second Series, Space Bros

Shorts: Don’t know, don’t care.

Dropped Before First Episode:

Freezing. Season 2. And bad porn.
Hajime no Ippo. Season 4.
Kuroko no Basuke S2. I’m not fabulous enough.
Little Busters ~Refrain~. First season was crap.
Magi. Watched the first season. Really bored by the end.
Phi Brain. I’m not British.

Watched New Series

30. Diabolik Lovers
This was disgusting.

29. Sekai de Ichiban Tsuyoku Naritai

As usual, here’s my rankings of the season’s new shows based on the first episode or so. You can click the links for details, so I’ll keep the discussion of each short. We’ll see how well this matches my ending thoughts.

Ongoing Series: Chihayafuru, Hunter X Hunter, Majestic Prince, Mushibugyo, Shingeki no Kyojin, Toaru Kagaku no Railgun S

Space Bros also exists if anyone is still watching it.

Shorts: Don’t know, don’t care.
Unwatched Sequels: Kingdom 2, Ro Kyuu Bu SS, Tamayura ~More Aggressive~

Tamayura is terrible, didn’t see Kingdom 1. The first season of Ro Kyuu Bu actually wasn’t bad. Sadly I’m not a lolicon.

29. Futari wa Milky Holmes
A crime against humanity.

28. Brothers Conflict
I expect lots of things from an incest show, but boredom is generally not one of them.

27. KKK
As bad as it sounds. Continue reading Summer 2013 — First Impressions →
