Shirobako is so closed to my heart I squee every time I watch it, whether it is when they achieve good result or when Aoi almost murder someone…
There is something in this anime that makes me feels like I am in home and smile even if it is showing harsh reality of working condition (such as makes me remember that my future is doomed because I lack connection for my future work)…
Cross Ange isn’t that bad but I guess it is because I consciously wipe out the first five episodes from my head each time I watch it, thus leaves me from some unnecessary offensive stuffs that the first five episodes try to shove (such as the ‘oh it is such a gritty anime! there are lolis get killed!’) in order to ‘surprise’ viewer (in disguise of ‘necessary for Ange’s development’)…
Without the first five episode, it just like watching any other shounen anime…
I want to support the studio behind Sora no Method because it is a new studio and their work in term of animation is wonderful (at least consistent), but unfortunately the rest of thing that the anime has to offer is total disappointment (except music)…
Maybe they should hire non-vn writer for their next anime…
I squee for Shirobako too. My future is doomed as well and it makes me smile.
Yeah the first five episodes of Cross Ange were the best part…. and then it became just like a normal shounen except the main character is a bitch.
Sora no Method’s animation was good I guess, but yeah… the rest…
Yeah, Murano is boring to watch.
Nanatsu no Taizai isn’t a terrible watch. I watched a bit of it (and have read most of the manga) and while it is not the greatest thing ever, it is one of the “good” shonens.
At the very least, the main cast doesn’t consist of high school kids who have angsty/silly moments (they are all very old and they are all battle hardened warriors). Meliodas’ groping gets annoying after a while and Elizabeth is just boring. Still, some of the sad back stories are very worth it.
As for your list, I totally agree on Bahamut and while I still need to watch the last few Twintails episodes, I can agree with its rank here. I’d probably rearrange a few and put Yona way higher, but otherwise this is a fairly decent list.
